Hello friends, strangers, Internet lurkers all across this grand series of tubes. Speaking of tubes, there is one tube to rule them all. It’s a little site called YouTube. There are some seriously mind boggling videos out there, but it takes real net spelunker to discover these hidden gems. Here are just a few of the coolest ones. Ever. My criteria for choosing these videos were 1) it has to be utterly amazing, shocking, funny, etc., and 2) you would never have seen these without YouTube.

It’s a guy parachuting down the side of a jagged mountain, half flying, half skiing. It’s amazing.

Another flying dude. In this one, he’s like a flying squirrel. Also an amazing feat.

Remember The Wicker Man? Did you see it? No? Maybe it’s for the best.

This is an extremely funny video where Hitler has been banned from XBox Live. The actual footage is from the movie Downfall, which is an excellent film in it’s own right.

Shows you how they touch up models and such to make them so beautiful for ads. Really makes you think.

The greatest dancer of all time. You have to see it to believe it.

This is really incredible. Using just letters, this animated video is more engrossing than most real movies.

One of the best performances of one of the best songs ever written. I’ll bet most of you have heard Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement, but the third movement is just as good if not better.

A really fun, clever commercial for the 360. Too bad it never aired.
